In the fold of Mother Church...
Behind the entrance to Pasay City from plush. Makati is he community of Malibay. It has attracted migrant workers from the provinces who seek employment of all kinds, either at Makati's commercial centers or in the residences of its plush villages.
San Juan Nepomuceno School was established because of the desire of the parents in the area for a Catholic education for their children. It started with 70 kindergarten students and a grade level added each year until the full elementary school was completed. The lot and the building belong to the parish, but all the subsequent improvements were funded by the Maryville Urban Development Foundation, a foundation set up by Assumption friends and alumnae.
In 1992, the church leaders expressed their desire to use the school building for their own activities, it being a Church property. This started the dream of building a new school with adequate classrooms and spacious playground. And so, everybody worked and prayed for that gift.
On December 12, 1996, the four-storey San Juan Nepomuceno School was inaugurated to sheger Malibay's little ones in the fold of Mother Church through Christian Education.
We are counting on you to help us make this tree grow and bear fruit!
