Founded in 1995 for the Talaandig Tribe of Bukidnon, is located in Kibangay, a hilly barrio in Lantapan that is basically an agricultural area.

A New Foundation
among the Tribal People!
The Religious of the Assumption started a foundation among the tribal people last May 31, 1998. The sisters are administering the high school for the Ta{aar~dig Tribe of Bukidnon.
Kibangay is a hilly barrio in Lantapan, Bukidnon. It is at the foot of the second highest mountain range in the Philippines - Mr, Kitanglad in the north and just across this mountain is Mt. Kalatungan, The climate is generally cold, Kibangay is basically an agricultural place. Farming is the main source of livelihood for the people. They produce vegetables like carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, brocolli, etc. Other source of income are livestock and poultry raising.
Xavier de Kibangay High School was established in 1995 through the concerted efforts of the Parish and the parishioners. It is named after the Patron Saint of the Parish, St. Francis Xavier. 95% of the students are "lumads".
Since its foundation, no water system was put up, and so the students are required to bring a gallon of water everyday.
